Success StoriesWater conservation: Our Water Explorer schools have earned several awards for their projects -- Siphakamile School won second place in the Water Explorer international competition in 2017, and Ebomvini Primary were awarded the International Water, Food and Air Award in 2019 by none other than HRH Zama Zulu of South Africa herself!

Ecological conservation: Sheelagh Antrobus received first place in the 2016 Game Rangers Association of Africa Rhino Conservation Awards in the Awareness, Education & Funding Category in recognition for her efforts as the Project Rhino KZN coordinator and the more than 13m rand raised and distributed by the ACT Rhino Fund.
Collaboration OpportunitiesACT is a partner in the GAP International-based programme Water Explorer, which helps teach youth to be water-wise through various school projects.
The nSimbi Partnership assists fledgling non-profits particularly in the Southern African region so they can expand their work.
Project HighlightsProject Rhino: A collaboration of over 37 organisations in South Africa’s KwaZulu Natal Province, dedicated to combatting wildlife crime. The project began in 2011 when ACT and 17 other entities came together to build a common vision and collaborate to address the scourge of rhino poaching. Project Rhino continues to support reserves, provincial authorities and NGOs in the sector to train, support and fund. ACT employs the project management team and secretariat, leases invaluable airfield capacity, employs certain field staff and manages the Rhino Fund. We raise over 5m rand per annum to support these initiatives, and actively guide the sector in strategic imperatives and resource allocations.
